Update on the loft

July 29th, 2009 by admin

I’m not making as much headway as I should be but 105+ degree days and my natural tendency for laziness isn’t helping matters any. Neither are my inability to walk without staggering after the stroke and all the distractions (dogs and such). But I’ll keep on plugging away and eventually get it finished.

BTW, CJ, if you don’t think the quality of this video is any good it’s your fault, I’m using the video camera we got for you. If you want better quality then get a better camera. Heh.

Treating them like dogs

Sometimes you just gotta.

It doesn’t suck being them.

Not a bad life at all, having some dumb humans taking care of you.

Got some video of a little lightning in a storm that rolled in from Texas canyon tonight. Sorry it keeps getting out of focus but the wind kept moving the camera.

In other news we just added a little over 12 acres near our house to our meager landholdings today. We’re only interested in our place(s) and the ones next door. Someday we’ll own the whole planet. Right?

So we went to Willcox…

…and stopped in the roadside park so I could tape the rocks. The video doesn’t really do them justice.

But they are pretty cool. Stop and see them for yourself someday.

He didn’t pass the holdup test though. Couldn’t even hold up a Moose. What a pussy…

This radar pic doesn’t even come close to showing it. It rained hard here, as you can see in the video below.

This is Cleopatra, an Egyptian Uromastyx. She has taken the place of our dearly departed iguana, Rocki.

Here’s a short video of Cleo exploring her new home. No, she’s not trying to escape, she’s testing the glass, lizards always do that for a day or two. She should be settled in a few days.
